Item 8.01 Other Events.

On January 18, 2024, the Company announced that, on January 17, 2024, its Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.09 per share of common stock. The dividend is payable on February 29, 2024 to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 14, 2024. A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.

CORAL GABLES, FLORIDA, January 18, 2024. Amerant Bancorp Inc. (NYSE: AMTB) (the “Company” or “Amerant”) today announced that, on January 17, 2024, the Company’s Board of Directors declared a cash dividend of $0.09 per share of Amerant common stock. The dividend is payable on February 29, 2024, to shareholders of record at the close of business on February 14, 2024.
