ITEM 5.02. DEPARTURE OF DIRECTORS OR CERTAIN OFFICERS; ELECTION OF DIRECTORS; APPOINTMENT OF CERTAIN OFFICERS; COMPENSATORY ARRANGEMENTS OF CERTAIN OFFICERS.
Jeffrey R. Smith, Senior Vice President and Treasurer, has announced that he plans to retire from the Company effective on May 31, 2023. Mr. Smith started with NHC in 1994 and has served in many important roles. Early in his NHC career, Mr. Smith served as an Assistant Vice President and Accounting Manager. From 2009 to 2016, he served as NHC’s Vice President of Treasury. In 2017, Mr. Smith was promoted to Senior Vice President and Treasurer where he will continue to serve through his retirement date.
