ITEM 8.01 OTHER EVENTS.

 

As previously disclosed, on September 27, 2023, CBAK Energy Technology, Inc. (the “Company”) received a deficiency notice from The Nasdaq Stock Market (“Nasdaq”) notifying the Company that its common stock failed to maintain a minimum bid price of $1.00 over the previous 30 consecutive business days as required by Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2).

 

On January 8, 2024, the Company received a letter from Nasdaq notifying the Company that it had regained compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) because for the last 10 consecutive business days, from December 21, 2023, through January 5, 2024, the closing bid price of the Company’s common stock had been at $1.00 per share or greater. Accordingly, the Company has regained compliance with Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) and Nasdaq considers this matter closed.
