Item 5.02. Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On March 18, 2024, director Mary E. Thigpen formally notified Hope Bancorp, Inc. (the “Company”) that she will not stand for re-election to the board of directors of the Company at the 2024 Annual Meeting of Stockholders. The Company would like to thank her for her dedication and service. Ms. Thigpen not standing for re-election was not the result of any disagreement with the Company on any matter relating to the operations, policies or practices of the Company.
