Section 8 - Other Events

Item 8.01 Other Events.

On August 18, 2023, a severe windstorm caused the Gray Fire, which has burned more than 10,000 acres in and near Medical Lake, Washington, damaging at least 185 structures.

Avista Corporation (Avista Corp. or the Company) has commenced an investigation and thus far has found no indication that its facilities were involved in the ignition of the Gray Fire. The Company is actively working with first responders, community support agencies and others to help assist those individuals and communities that have been impacted.
