Item 8.01 – Other Events

On September 12, 2025, First Bancorp (the "Company") issued a news release to announce a cash dividend.

The Company reported that its board of directors had declared a cash dividend of $0.23 per share on its common stock payable on October 25, 2025 to shareholders of record as of September 30, 2025.

First Bancorp Announces Cash Dividend


Southern Pines, NC, September 12, 2025 - The Board of Directors of First Bancorp (NASDAQ: FBNC) (the “Company”), the parent company of First Bank, has declared a cash dividend on its common stock of $0.23 per share payable on October 25, 2025 to shareholders of record as of September 30, 2025.
