Cemex, S.A.B. de C.V. (“Cemex”) (NYSE: CX) announced today that, it has successfully closed the previously informed sale of its operations in the Dominican Republic and businesses in Haiti to Cementos Progreso Holdings, S.L., through a subsidiary, and its strategic partners, for a total enterprise value of US$950 million before standard adjustments related to cash, debt and closing working capital. The divested assets mainly consist of one cement plant in the Dominican Republic consisting of two integrated production lines and related cement, concrete and aggregates assets; marine terminals and a commercialization business to Haiti.
